The current body of work by Anat Maoz is a result of a year-long family trip on a bus in Australia, along with her partner and three children. Maoz paints quick paintings that strive to capture fleeting moments and daily situations. She aims to distill specific memories on various surfaces that she collects along the way: wrapping papers, sick bags, shelves, drawers and Pizza cartons. She exhibits paintings, videos and sound works that coincide with the experience of her journey and emphasize the necessary, efficient and functional aspect of traveling.
